Why Wholesale Investor NZ exists
Most New Zealanders who qualify as wholesale investors under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 still have no easy way to compare investment opportunities outside the listed market. Private credit, property syndicates, venture capital, AIP-eligible funds and alternative strategies are scattered across dozens of provider websites, fund manager PDFs, financial adviser channels and word-of-mouth networks.
We built Wholesale Investor NZ as the independent, free directory we wished existed when we first started looking. Every fund, provider and platform listed here has been reviewed for substance — established track record, registered FSP where required, transparent reporting and a real underlying investment strategy. Wholesale Investor NZ is free for investors and never takes a share of your investment. We may receive advertising or introduction fees from managers we have an agreement with; these are restricted to a small number of clearly-labelled featured placements and never affect which funds we list, how we compare them, or the order they appear.
Who we serve
Eligible investors and family offices comparing private-market allocations, AIP visa applicants assessing NZTE-approved fund managers, financial advisers researching wholesale opportunities for clients, and overseas investors transferring UK pensions to QROPS-recognised NZ schemes. We focus exclusively on the NZ market — that means deeper coverage of local fund structures (PIE, LP, MIS), tax considerations (PIR, FIF), and the regulatory context (FMA, FMCA 2013) than generalist platforms can provide.

Comparison articles, asset-class education and the glossary are never edited in exchange for money. Sponsors get a clearly-labelled badge, a directory placement and lead routing on their own provider page — they do not get rewritten copy elsewhere on the site. This site does not provide personalised financial advice.
